From a Tiny Seed....

......Grows a Juicy Watermelon

Collin wanted to grow some watermelon this year, so we planted about 25 seeds in May. The squirrels promptly ate all but two of the seeds, which grew into two marvelous plants. Both sprouted fruit, and this is the result.

Harvest time. You can see #2 growing as well. #2 got nibbled on by our local deer, so we have covered her up now. They left the plant alone all summer until the day we harvested #1. :(
