A few weeks ago we visited the Washington's at Mt. Vernon, so today we decided to visit the Jefferson's at Monticello. It was a lovely fall day, and we had a fabulous family tour geared toward the kids with lots of fun activities and a GREAT tour guide.
Our tour was just families and very small. Private touring where they closed the door in each room as we were talking. Lots of hands on stuff and fun interaction.
The kids lining up for a race on the front lawn. Apparently Jefferson was known to race with his grandchildren.

The funniest moment of the day was dear Payton, piping up in response to another little girl questioning some of the nude artwork in the house. He wanted to add that he had seen a movie with a lady with no shirt on.....he has been on a Titanic kick of late and I let him watch that movie. THAT is what he remembers and shares publicly. :)

Collin makes quill writing look easy!! Well, Monticello walls should not be reverbrating with any nude talk...if those walls could talk........
