Titanic in D.C.

Payton recently became VERY interested (read, OCD level of interest) in the Titanic tragedy. He checked out a book from the school library on it a few months ago, and it has all gone downhill from there.
While looking for something to do a few weeks ago, Karl discovered that there is a Titanic memorial here in D.C., so we surprised Payton with a trip to go see it today. He was very pleased when he read the inscription and got to the word "Titanic."

Daddy and P at the memorial. Collin was there too, but, being the ever "adorable" big brother, he hates ALL things Titanic just because Payton loves them. Hence the refusal to be in the picture.

It really is a nice memorial, erected by the women. :) It overlooks a lovely spot on the water and the cherry trees.

We think that the sculpture is of a naked man, artfully draped of course.
