K's Birthday gift from the kids FINALLY arrived today. In early August, the boys expressed a wish to design a Lego U2 for Dad on lego.com on their Design By Me site. They spent an afternoon designing an awesome Lego U2 and then ordered it. The pieces got hand picked at a Lego plant in Poland. The directions and custom box were printed. Then it shipped from the plant in Poland to be inspected in Hong Kong (???) before finally arriving via USPS to Virginia. Whew! In true U2 fashion, it went around the world and back, before finally landing at home. :)
The kids have been anxiously watching the mail for it for a few weeks now. Look at that cool box that they designed! They even made a cool Lego U2 pilot that isn't shown on the box.
Building. 183 pieces.
Finished product. They wanted Dad to put it on his desk at work. Unfortunately, he really doesn't have room for it here at the Pentagon, so it may have to wait for the next desk.....

That is just plain awesome! What a super special gift for Big K! I'm glad it finally arrived!!! :))) Yes not thinking the Pentagon desk is big enough for that beautiful lego creation...soon enough there will be a new desk to put it on. Hugs to you all! XXOO

AWESOME!! That does win the coolest Dad gift ever! But, come on now, Big K, think creatively. Hang it from the ceiling with a paper clip and some fishing line...unless the Pentagon has gone swanky and doesn't have those school room tiles.
Hmmmm...the last three posts have ALL had lego activity!! Do these boys like Lego's???
