We made a trip to the only North American Hyundai factory today....right here in Montgomery, AL. We kept Collin home from school while Payton went to his preschool (you have to be at least 6 to take the tour). I have to say, I was duly impressed with the assembly line and factory. We joke that we came all the way from Korea to see a Korean car made here in Alabama, but it was really worth it. They crank out 950 cars per day here...roughly one car per minute of production. It was amazing. And Collin, a kid who has ALWAYS adored cars, it was like a Mecca for him. :)
Unfortunately, for security reasons we couldn't take photos inside the grounds, but the above picture is a shot of the front. The complex is enormous....I think 1700 acres and the size of 13 Super Wal Marts. It was a lot of fun, and a good reason to skip school! :)
And after our tour of the fine Korean automobile plant, we drove off in our fine German BMW. :)
Way to go Korea!!!!

Sounds like fun. I'll bet the factories in Korea don't have all that acreage. There is not once area of free space in that country. They use every acre :)And it Korea it would be the size of 13 E-marts which would make for one tall building. LOL
Cool...skipping school for a educational reasons is always approved!!
