Tyndall as the Queen

Our senior citizen kitty, Tyndall, had $500 worth of veterinary treatment (!!!!!) performed today and had a small growth removed from his side. I had found a suspicious looking mass on his skin a little over a week ago and the vet wanted to remove it entirely and have it biopsied. She ran a full blood panel last week, and all looked great for a 12 year old cat, but the mass still looked "iffy." So, she took it off today and we will know what it was within a couple of days. The good news is that it was fairly confined to the skin and didn't appear to go any deeper than the epidermal layers. We will cross fingers and knock on wood that it was just a benign growth common in old men.

For now, he has to wear the beautiful Elizabethan collar so he won't lick the incision open. He doesn't have any stitches....it is all glued. He is acting very normal and only mildly annoyed at the collar. Meish is being a little brat though and is keeping well away from Tyndall, his collar, and his smell of sickness!

Poor Tyndall.....

Aww poor kitty. It's no fun to go to the vet. Even I hate it. He looks cute with his collar.
