Korean Food

I must confess that we aren't HUGE fans of authentic Korean food....but we eat off base all the time at a lot of places that don't serve it. My favorite is probably the Thai place, C's is Japanese (which is still fairly American-Japanese), P likes McDonald's and Baskin Robbins(no surprise). K's favorite spot is the Mud Hut, which does serve only Korean and it is pretty good. We usually only get Bulgogi, which a type of BBQ that they cook right on your table over hot coals.

It comes with lots of little side dishes that are pretty good too. Several different Kimchi's (different vegetables that are spiced and pickled in a Kimchi Pot)...K LOVES the cucumber one. There are a few that we can't identify, rice of course, and some little oysters that are pretty good if you like your seafood spicy and chilled. C LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the octopus. K originally told him that it was jerky, in order to get him to try it, but he since has figured out that it is octopus and he likes it even more!

We went there last night, and will probably go a couple more times before we leave. Some things you just have to do in the actual country to enjoy. :)

And yes, both kids can use chopsticks like pros....though P has cute little trainer ones.
