We Have Orders!!!!

For weeks now, we have been stressing about the "Orders Game." Orders are those magical papers that the military gives you to send you on your way to your next assignment. Of course, NOTHING can be accomplished without the Orders. Nobody will listen to your call or answer any of your questions without Your Orders. The Air Force is really good at delaying the Orders; messing up the Orders, witholding the Orders for seemingly harmless offenses, etc. Finally, yesterday, we GOT our Orders!!! And get this...we even got our plane tickets reserved for the return home!! Amazing isn't it? We won't say how many errors there are on the Orders (for example: K's job code lists him as in Pilot Training). We are just happy to have them and we now get to start "The Outprocessing List," the Air Force's second favorite Game for messing with our minds.

We are inching our way toward the Korean Finish Line!

The info we can share is that we are leaving Seoul on June 20, bound for San Fransisco. From there we have to go back to the Mother Ship (Beale AFB) to turn in some of K's things. On the 21st we will head to Southern California for R&R with K's family, then up to Montana for R&R with G's family, and then we will hit the LOOOONG American Highway to reach Montgomery, AL around July 20th. LOTS of blogs to come with THAT great Adventure in Moving!
