So, who wouldn't want to attend a baseball game of the world renowned AA baseball team, the Montgomery Biscuits? And yes, by Biscuit, I mean flour/shortening creation topped with butter and jam, or honey, or gravy, etc. A true Southern mascot if you ask me, and a fine way to spend a Friday evening. Actually, their mascot is something called Big Mo, who looks like a cross between an anteater and an armadillo, and who's favorite food is those warm, flaky biscuits. :) And yes, they sell those warm flaky biscuits at the stadium for the mere cost of $8.25 for biscuit and preferred topping!!!
The stadium was actually totally awesome. It is an old train station and sits right next to the still-used railway (which made Payton's night, as several trains kept inching by). We ate hot dogs, and drank soda, and jeered at the umpires for bad calls....a true American Experience. We all really enjoyed ourselves and managed to stay for almost the entire game before we decided to take off in the 8th inning to beat the traffic getting out. The boys both got a ball, and both now think that they want to be baseball players. Ummm, yeah, I am not sure that will be happening, but we certainly enjoyed the evening!

Okay, seriously, your posts make Montgomery seem like a really fun place to be. :)
So totally awesome. If I can get a sitter for Maddie we are going to try and go this weekend before the season ends. Goooooo, Biscuits!
What an awesome family "date night." Minor league games are the best!
